So I got lazy and messed up. Turned out to be such a pain in the ass to upgrade joomla that I ripped and reinstalled it. I waited like .5 versions before upgrading. Who would have thought the old version was incompatable? I will repost some useful stuff like my XD 40 review. As for the rest of the content - history.
